I bought a brand new grom in 2016 and removed all the clutter, added some very unique and expensive performance and looks items while still keeping the bike its standard 125 cc. This thing is awesome, and i did it for a summer project. I'm an adult, and have experience restoring antique and classic motorcycles. The list includes all bolts removed and replaced with high quality stainless steel fasteners. Right side case and the foolish oil spinner removed and replaced with a new side case that has a removable honda oil filter and oil sight gauge. Makes changing oil a snap and without the use of special tools. Also, a high volume oil pump has been added to accomodate the new oil cooler! The bulky stock airbox has been removed and replaced with a chimera cold air intake with a k&n filter, looking nice in polished stainless. Levers have been replaced with quality "shorty" levers in red to match the new grips that have a similar metal band. The cumbersome rear fender has been removed and replaced with the best tail tidy available. Exhaust is through a stainless steel system mounted low and neat. It's a werkes usa stystem especially made for the grom to extract as much horsepower and torque as possible. It has a baffle installed, but still sounds quite throaty. The baffle is removable. The cost of this system was over $600. Mirrors are bmw gs replicas and work great. Axle sliders are included as well-- not the cheap ones, but the ones that bolt onto the axle. There is more not mentioned here, and the new owner will receive all of the removed stock parts to do with as desired. Get some cash back from ebay sales, for example. This is not a rocket ship, but has been built to be a super cool bike and reliable. It's not even broken in yet, and that pleasure will be afforded to the new owner. It has been ridden about 200 miles total to insure that the oil lines are secure and there are no leaks. This bike is located in north central florida.
