Not since joe namath and the new york jets won the super bowl in 1969 has thiscar looked this good. I have used top quality parts fromxks unlimited in all the repairs. The engine was rebuilt in 2005 and only has 200 miles on it since that time. Stromberg carburetors were rebuilt at a cost of $700 last year. The interior includes new leather, carpeting,headliner and door panels, all done in the most meticulous care in 2014. The car was resprayed in 2007 with all newseals and rubber kit throughout. This car has a sorrowful past with the original owner, charles k freeman, buying the car in may of 1970 andspending some time in arkansas before being shipped out from the naval academy in annapolis to vietnam where helost his life. His parents, in their grief put the car in a warehouse and that is where i found it 28 years later. The 44,000 mile are all original. There is no rust on the car and all numbers are matching. In retains it's original 4. 2 liter engine, which was a bigimprovement over the earlier 3. 8 liter engines found in the series i cars. Primarily due to the improved coolingand increased power. Basically at that time is was just a excellent used car. It was stripped to bare metal and restored to its original glory in its stunning originalcolor combination of british racing green over tan interior. Still regarded by many collectors as the best colorcombinations for the e-types. It was a very straight original survivor having never been damaged and in need ofonly minor metal repairs. This is a well documented and photographed restoration. Cosmetically this car isbreathtaking to see. One of the finest i have seen for a driven example. The fit lines are excellent and all withinthe same tolerances from new. All five wire wheels were sent out to be reconditioned and re-chromed. All chromeinside and out was removed and re-plated to show quality and all mechanical components rebuilt to function likenew. It received a complete new interior from bas ltd jaguar trim specialist which still looks new. It illustratesthe level of luxury not found in most sports cars of this era. The floor carpets still have the plastic on them. Included with the car is the heritage certificate shown in the last photo verifying the cars history, numbers &original color. It is a numbers matching car that still retains the look and reliability of a car just out of restoration. It hasbeen driven only a few thousand miles since it was restored in 2002-04. It has won several trophies in local carshows. The interior still looks new with no noticeable signs of wear. The paint still shines brightand has held up very well. This speaks to the overall quality of the restoration. Anyone can make a car lookperfect for a few months. Only a high quality restoration still looks fresh 12 years later. I would always prefer acar with an older restoration that was completed slowly for a long time owner over a just finished car restoredonly to sell. The chrome all still looks new and shines bright like well plated chrome should. As was commonyears ago the underside was coated with a corrosion preventative black coating to protect it. The engine is a work of art. It was rebuilt by a well-respected jaguar shop and painted and polished to originalfinishes. It starts right up with clearclean exhaust. Oil pressure is excellent at any speed and long after warm up. The new clutch and rebuilt gear boxmake it a joy to drive. The new brake system stops the car firmly and straight from any speed. The top and boot look very nice with only slight signs of wear on thetop that will not even show in the photos. The tires look new with full tread.

Welcome jaguar lovers. There will be no doubt.. This car is the best of the best category. Included with this car is the jaguar heritage certificate stating the year of this car to be 1967. It does have a 1. 5 upgraded interior so this car is on the cusp of a changeover from 1 to 1. 5 series. This car has been the subject of an 18 month cost no object virtual re manufacture. With the exception of the engine, transmission and original body.. Over 95% of all other parts have been replaced , not restored ,with at or above original quality official jaguar parts or better. Built in december 1967, it arrived in the usa in january 1968 and was registered in 68' this xke started out life as a one owner southern california car, and remained a single owner car its entire life till 2014. Because of the completely accident free , rust free ownership history this car has, it was hand selected to receive a process such as i am about to explain. The following remanufacture consists of but is not limited to these procedures and replacement items. To start ,every single removable part was disassembled and the undercarriage was perfected, rust proofed and painted with the rest of car. The original 4. 2 engine with matching jaguar heritage cert. Has been rebuilt to modern day standards including modern seals, new pistons, new up rated cams and valves . To take reliability one step further , a completely new wiring harness and electrical systems have been fitted. For longevity not necessity, an entire new square tube engine sub frame has been fitted with an e type fabs of england superior quality original spec frame redo.. This is a no holds barred, cost no object remanufacture of this incredible specimen. The original 4 speed transmission has been overhauled and shifts better than original specifications as are the new clutch and new master and slave hydraulics. All moving and non moving suspension parts were up rated with poly bushings.. All external suspension parts , latches, linkages, bonnet and trunk closures, brake calipers and hardware were nickel plated. As a protection factor this nickel plating is an unbeatable time consuming expensive yet positive addition to protecting vital parts from age and atrition. This process shows, and lifts the overall ambience of the car above restoration quality to museum quality. The underside of this car is beyond perfect... Front brakes are now up rated nickel plated wilwood calipers, all master cylinders, servos and brake lines are new not restored. All new rotors compliment the system. A new up rated alternator and high torque starter have been installed. All relays, regulators, fuse boxes, battery and mounting hardware is new. Bonnet braces and spring hinge assemblies are new . Nothing inside engine compartment has any signs of age or wear. The nickel plated handbrake assembly is up rated for dual action brake disc control and assemblies and cables are new. The handbrake function is a 100% improvement over original. All 6 shock absorbers and springs are new. The rear diff has been rebuilt and detail finished and pain.
