1965 mustang fastback built by famous riddler winner roger burman from lakeside rods & rides. This was a clean straight rust free car out of washington state that i bought over 12 years ago. It started by having a customfabricated chromoly chassis built by a local chassis shop and then having it powder coated black. Once the chassiswas built the car was sent to roger burman in iowa were the build began. That's why westuck with black/black and chrome. We knew i could never go out of style and would only look better with age. The exterior:the exterior of the car has 27 modifications that are almost unnoticeable. We took what already existed and justreally improved it. From the front of the car we lowered the front valance 5" and added a solid black satin meshinsert. On the sides of the valance we recessed "4 fogs lights and at the bottom of the valance we molded on asmall tasteful lip. The front bumper was narrowed and bolts were shaved. We also shortened the sides about 2 1/2inches and then backed it into the car for a very tight clean look. There is over $10k in bumpers alone. The grillreceived the same black satin mesh and the small 3 fins on each side of the headlights were opened up and receivedthe mesh also. The trim in front of the mesh was smoothened out and painted black to disappear. The led headlightsare from a new style harley. The hood is all steel and custom fabricated with mesh insets custom latch with release from inside and finished ingloss black on bottom same as top. The cowls and wipers removed and smoothened out. The side rockers we loweredabout 2" for a lower look and to cover up pinch rails and look factory. The side indentations were factory buy only 1/2" deep. We decided to leave them were they were but just accentuatethem. So from the front of the car we started with the 1/2" indentation and pushed it into the doors gradually toend up with about a 2" side air pocket by the back wheels. It looks factory and in the air pocket we added a meshinsert. We even created a small vent all the way through to cool the back brakes. Door handles and locks shaved with remote windows and trunk. One billet mirror painted black to match the car. Theside grill vents were frenched in also. Baer 6 piston brakes and 14" rotors. Wheels are custom made by forge line. They have chrome step lips with a concave powered-coated gray center and acenter lock. The back of the car received a small 1 1/2 molded in wing on trunk. Custom made gas cap cover with a satin meshrear panel. The tail lights are custom made to look like the factory ones just much more modern with led lights behind. Bumpercompletely cut up and reworked to sit flush to body. Rear valance was lowered to match rockers with a license plateinsert. Custom powder coated exhausts. Every single piece of the body was reworked and refitted with the straightest and smallest gaps possible. 1 milliontimes straighter and tighter body lines then when it came from the factory. The body lines from every angel are insane! The interior:the interior on this car is just as nice as the outside. It's all custom but very clean and not all complicated. The dash is custom made with only 2 classic instruments gauges one for speed one for rpm. There is a small 3rdgauge bellow dash showing gas, oil, ect. Behind the two gauges in the dash there's black satin mesh withunnoticeable a/c vents coming through. On the passenger side there's also a black mesh insert with hidden a/c ventsbehind. This is a great mustang convertible. I've owned this car for almost 9 years. It's been a joy to own and is notproblematic at all. I'm only selling it because my family is moving on to the next stage in life and we're buyinga boat. Great color: red with black interior and a white top. The car is not flawless, but pretty close to thenaked eye. In the spirit of full disclosure, the flaws are a few tiny nicks in the paint, carpet is a little fadedfrom the sun, the wood on the steering wheel was repaired before i got it, and a few snaps are missing from theconvertible top boot cover. Those are the only things i'd address on this car. About 2 years ago, i had newbrakes installed, to include new discs in front and a brake cylinder; new battery; a new coil; new distributor; newholley 4 bbl carburetor, new radiator and fan; and a new high powered radio that is designed to look like theclassic ford radios (the radio has bluetooth for music and hands-free phone calling, as well as a usb port); newedelbrock shocks and bf goodrich tires were installed about 7 years ago and have less than 500 miles on them. Theelectric top works great, the trunk is nice and clean, the car shifts nicely, and starts right up. The engine hasthe cobra valve covers and air cleaner. No a/c or power steering. The car originally did not come with seat beltsin the back seat. I had them installed in the back seat to factory specs and replaced the ones in front too sothey would match. Pretty much everything has been replaced on this car during the 90's restoration and myownership. It is ready to enjoy. I have a clear title in hand and current vehicle registration. This vehicle is being sold as-is. I also have mostof the receipts for the major work done to the car. I also have an owners manual and mustang repair book that i'mincluding with the car. The car was restored back in the 90's before i got the car. I have most of the receipts from that as well. Air Conditioning✔ Bluetooth
